Walking With Giants is a 4 movement work for brass ensemble that was commissioned by the Big Horn Brass.  An Epic Brass piece about our beautiful giant friends, the elephants, this piece was designed particularly to increase awareness and inspire people to help these amazing giants and their habitats.  The opening movement, Walking with Giants, plays to the majestic and colossal nature of the elephant.  Movement 2, Elephants at Play, is a playful romp with a light melody and joyful elephant trumpeting.  The third movement is a brass chorale interlude that outlines the seriousness of the dangers to these creatures.  The chimes toll 11 times marking the 11th hour.  The piece ends with a action-packed and exciting Hero’s Call to Action!   For the premiere, we teamed up with the International Elephant Foundation and the Oregon Zoo Foundation to create a full multi-media experience including incredible video footage of elephants.  You can see the video here on the website.
